    Question on Luft GCB

I am looking to purchase a GCB. I don't have any photo's, however my qustion is did any of these badges have a folded hinge? It is a single rivot zincer with a gold eagle and no MM. The catch is wire soldered to a small rectangle plate which in turn is soldered to the badge. The folded hinge has a shepards crook pin and appears to be soldered to the badge at each side of the hinge. Sorry I don't have a pic but does this type of GCB sound fessable???????????

I have found 2 pics of this badge on the net which is identical to the badge I am looking at. Could I get an opinion on this type of unmarked badge as I am not experienced with this badge. Thanks Mic.

          That was quick,
Hi Skip, The dealer is asking $400 Aus. It's a bit steep however the prices are always higher in Aus, but I have the advantage of actually seeing the badge. I still need to do some research.

            Mic,

400Aus is around 230Eur. That is around about what german dealers are asking as well.
Is the example you are looking at EXACTLY the same as the posted pictures. If you look carefully you will see that this is the type were an eagle was meant to be attached but was in fact not completed. Instead they put in a blind rivet and stamped over the top of the eagle. If I was you I would wait until finding one with an extra attached eagle. These one piece type and the other one piece type with cast in thick hook and hinge usually cost around 150Euro.
