I would say that it does´nt look like the Imme badges that I have come to know and love.
Actually the front looks quiet presentable (going on these titchy pics) but the back is a real shocker!

can you elaborate?....i thought the hinge looked pretty good for a JMME...i was concerned mostly about the eagle and the swaz not being cut out...what is strangeis that i was offered this and a text book early juncker para ...supposedly in possesion of the owner(both pieces) for over 40 years....any other comments would be greatly appreciated

          thanks

          mike

            Mike,

Immes are always difficult. I like to see a short brass hinge on any Imme and this appears to have a BSW type hinge. Rivets are also not what I´d expect. A bit strange for me is also the Imme mark, I´m used to seeing Jmme & Sohn on these airgunners. As you say, non cutout swaz is also strange.
Can you get any better shots, larger and straight on from front and back?
Like I said, the front looks pretty good but that pic is a real downer.

The hinge set up is totally out for both a JMME & JMME & SOHNE marked badges, chunky brass type with these, the IMME has Juncker design. The maker mark looks too crisp as well.... all in all the whole of the reverse is not to my liking.

              Regards,

              Neil

                    Mike....

... this looks almost exactly like a fake IMME Gunner I picked up awhile back. I kept it as it is downright scary, but if you look closely at the bird, it doesn't match known ones either... check the eagle's head! Compare it to real ones in older threads.

                            no idea!

I don't know who made them/when. Initial quick view and the badge looks great. tiny rivets, etc. The one I'm stuck with was part of a load, so i didn't lose much on it, but it was only apparent upon receipt that all was not right! A close look at the eagle, pin, etc. and to me it was troubling. I asked Frank to review it as well and he sent some excellent views of his originals... no chance then. The one I have came in a nicely aged case as well, so a concerted effort is being made (yet again) to rip off all collectors...... And as an added bonus, it was a "vet buy"
So much for those that profess if they bought it from a veteran it must be real!
