    Some LW badges for review

Hey guys, I told a friend I would post pics of some of his items for him. I'll put the badges in this thread and I'll withhold my own opinions so I don't influence anyone.

Sorry about the quality of the pics... I didn't take them... hopefully they're good enough to determine validity one way or the other...

The Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge looks to me like an original by Arno Wallpach.

The Luftwaffe Observer badge is a rather crude-looking fake.

                  Best regards,

Well that's interesting news. I was pretty sure the Observer was a cast fake, but I thought the GAB looked bad too. I thought GAB were supposed to be two-piece constructions and the details looked weak / cast.

It's nice to hear that at least one piece out of four might be original. Any other opinions on authenticity? It's a late-war zinc GAB, correct?

I know it's frowned upon to ask, but would anyone hazard a guess on what the market value range is for this type of Arno Wallpach GAB?
