    British made AXIS Glider badge?

Can anybody say what this badge is ..I first thought a Axis Glider badge but then noticed the British maker on the Reverse. In my trying to find out what it is I see the German and Italian Glider badges are very similar ...how does one tell the difference ?On mine what would the letters ZS stand for?
    Thanks

These are international awards provided by the host-country affiliate of the international air sports association (I may have the name wrong). Some countries had letter identifiers on their badges to signify the country in which the badge was awarded -- I'm not sure which country ZS is associated with.

Its a civil interwar (post war?) glider pin IMO. The international code started to be use with the radiotelegraphic community in 1913 but the International Air Navigation Convention held in Paris in 1919 made allocations specifically for aircraft registrations, based on the 1913 callsign list. Its a german design and use by many countries but when it was use: interwar or post war???

Here's one from United Kingdom with the ''G''.

I think, "ZS" is for South Africa and still is.

I have some nice DDR examples.

            Kind regards,

            Marcus
