    Assmann Paratrooper

Could I please get opinions on this badge?
I just ordered Tom's book but it's 3 weeks away.
It looks fine to my untrained eye but I'm no expert in this field.
Thanks very much for your help!
    Roy

Nothing wrong with this Fallschirmschützenabzeichen and in a very nice condition too.

The case is also a fine original, but for a later para badge type out of the Lüdenscheid area imo.

        Regards
        Joe

Super nice Assmann, case is awesome but would fit more for GWL or FLL.

Thanks very much for the replies gentlemen, it's much appreciated!
Is a mis-matched case a big issue for collectors?
I haven't purchased this one yet and I'm only looking for one really nice early cased example, preferably a Deumer, Assmann or Juncker.

Not really, it depend what type of collector you are, some like me are case freak and want the good matching case, some dont mind and some dont collect cases. Is up to you, its a personal opinion IMO. You have a wonderful set, case are hard to find these day, you can change later for a matching one.

                      Hi Roy,

Nice set, and very lovely Assmann Para badge in excellent condition. I think Joe & Seb hit all the main points with this set, nothing really to add.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
