    Any info about Ehrenpokal Traeger

    Hi guys
    i`m looking any info about Oberfeldwebel Anton Boergerding from KG Boelcke #27

    He is not listed in the usual references for Pokal or DKiG. These do have names missing so it does not mean too much but will make research that bit harder.

          The aircraft was lost on May 22, 1940. It was the Heinkel He 111 P-2 of the Gruppenkommandeur of III./KG27. All of the crew was KIA, except for Bögerding, who was seriously wounded.

            Well done Tom. I thought the P designation on the He 111 would make it quite early. I cannot add much from the references I have:

            He111P of Stab III./KG27 shot down by Hurricanes of No. 605 Squadron RAF, southwest of Lens and crashed near Bouvigny-Boyeffles at 12:10pm. Hauptmann U. Schirmer (Gruppenkommandeur), Oberfeldwebel G. Raudies, Feldwebel W. Müller and Gefreiter K. Mittelback killed. Feldwebel A. Börgerding badly wounded. Aircraft written off.
