Hi Paul,

I tend to agree with Ludwig, the base metal, hardware, rivetting and finish all seem wartime compatible and I personally like this type of clasp.

I thought I did my homework sufficiently enough before pulling the trigger on this one
and noticed some of the big dealers have similar clasps, but I recieved a pm suggesting it was a known 'dud'.
I have a no problem return policy with the seller, but, I like this one too.

Additionally,
that, it was an identicle match to a clasp that was recently condemned fake, here on the WAF.
I haven't found the thread yet.
