And what about this LW GWL AG?

Doesn't look quite this 'snowy' in real life...

    Hi Tod,

for me these are acceptable, late war, AG badges. In your pic. the L does´nt seem to have the phallic bend, but the rest matches to what I expect from these.
I´m sure some will disagree though.

      Hi Tod,

There are also GWL air gunner badges with a cast in hinge and catch and a different eagle, but your badge looks good to me and I have seen your variation type before in original context.
      Cheers, Frank

Actually it appears to be a Deumer eagle. So maybe part sharing again. Both firms were based in Lüdenscheid after all-
Frank, I have also sen the cast in type GWLs and actually prefer those. The whole setup on these is really GWL untypical and I know there are a lot of people that think these are fakes. Glad to know you agree with me here.

          Hi Tod, et al,

Just for the heck of it, and for comparison, I will post images of the earlier style of GWL Air Gunner Badge. Most people don't have much interest in the Air Gunner badge ohne blitzen, but I love 'em.

          Regards,
          Mark

              Hi Skip,

Most of these GWLs (Flaks, Ground Assaults, Infantry Assaults, etc.) unfortunately, lose their silver. It's always hard to find a 'pretty one'.

              Regards,
