Like rfleming32 I also wonder about the pin. Have tried to crop rfleming32's (left) and Jürgen's (right) photos to show it better. Don't see the dimple on the pin either.

Hi Jürgen, yes of course. Here are crops from the other two badges posted and two more from my files.
My own two B&NL badges have the same "dimple" but I'll be the first to admit that I'm not an expert, just wondering. Maybe not all have this dimple?
Otherwise your badge looks very nice to me as well.<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_6059993", true); </SCRIPT>

Hi Jurgen,
Strange it doesn't has the dimple indeed, but I think this is an original B&NL pin on a complete original badge.Kind regards,
Giel

Hi guys,
It indeed is a little weird that the pin doesn't have the dimple, all the B&NL examples I have on file don't have the dimple.
Jurgen, can you look to see if the tension foot of the pin hits in the EXACT same spot on the wreath? If not, that would be an indication of a replaced pin.

Hi Tom,
I was worried about doing this test. But the pin does fall in the exact same spot on the wreath. This is very interesting since I have never done this test. I have also looked under the microscope to see if there is any old solder left where the pin is attached and I cannot find any. It all looks very clean to me. Jurgen

I think it is always difficult when a badge is not textbook like Jürgens fine B&NL. In this case the pin is not like we would expected, but then again there will always be things made, which differs from the average.
Even though it does not have the dimple and the tension foot much longer, I do like that it seem from the images that the tension footprint on the reverse lines up and matchers the tension foot-sole.
Could you make a close-up and clear image of the tension foot-sole and the tension footprint?
