Glider badge

Hi all,

What you guys think regards that bashed up Glider badge - good or bad. In the condition side I know the answer already.
Top part of the bade was broken off, as well one of the eagle wings. All the parts are clued back, Also the wreath has been "repeared" with the aluminium-silver paint.
Like I understand it is late war zinc model with the solid swastika? Any ideas regards the originality? I can post more pictures tomorrow if necessary.

I think this glider is not an original badge.

What makes me suspicious is the hinge and catch...IMO this hinge type is not used for gliders.
Also I do not like the design of the eagle.
If you look to the wreath the form is also "strange" IMO

Like I understand this badge was up on sale here 6 years ago and also had been discussed few times.
I think the case is regards the pin system - an upper wreath is replaced/rebuilt because the badge was in pits.

Look a good ball hinge GB with replaced hinge and pin.

I would tend to agree with Seb, looks like it might be a good "ball hinge" glider with replaced hinge and repaired rivets.

Interesting that it has a flatwire catch, I think all the ones I have ever seen had a round wire catch. The fact that this one has a flatwire is a very good sign of originality because we know of other "ball hinge" badges with the same exact catch (i.e., ball hinge flak, AS in Triangle PABs, etc.).
