I am trying to sort out a minefield of good and fake badges I picked up over the weekend from a longtime collector, he picked things up over the years from garage sales, flea markets, veterans, friends, etc but can't recall what came from what source. I am skeptical about this one for obvious reasons but it has enough good points for me to put it here to see what you guys think of it. I got a golden party badge and an SS 8 year service medal with this lot as well and will post them later in their respective forums for review. Thank you for any opinions/advice- fingers crossed.

Details look OK, but its heavily repaired (new rivets, no catch and likely replaced hinge and pin).

Thanks Tom I want to keep it for myself. I appreciate the response, the catch missing is too bad but if its good its going in my case.

I agree with Tom. I think the hinge is original but maybe re-attached? I do think the pin is a replacement though.
