In my opinion, the bullion work looks great and the eagles' beaks resemble what I have seen on others that I deemed to be period examples. I like attention to the eagles' eyes. The reverse paper backing looks right. Nice detail to swaz also.
I think they're nice and original and I'd like to hear other opinions. The fact that you have a cap and breast eagle of the same construction and look like they were made the same day by the same person can be bad, or good. The lack of age could be attributed to great storage conditions. These could have been liberated from a shop together and stayed together all these years, or a hoard or recent cache find.
These bullion eagles do have a lot going for them. I passively collect these and would like to hear from the experts.
BTW, if I saw these at a show, they probably would have gone home with me if the price were right.

Hi Ralph,
I often interpret the lack of posts over days as a sign that people are on the fence. That's just an assumption on my part. That said, I think these are fine. They are similar in construction but not identical. Perhaps made by the same hand or as a matching set; perhaps not.
To my eye, nice examples, both of them.
