I don't like the photos on this one Adam, but I think the badge is ok.

Very strange looking " pancake rivets " on this badge. Looks like a cast copy.

I think they've been mushed to keep the bird still.
I'd personally ask for better photos.

              Hello all,

              let me add my opinion:

First better images are needed for sure!!!

Form these images ...and from the angle, I have the following concerns:

              Obverse:
The beak is IMO out of range and out of form: a little bit too long and a little bit to "fat" at the end of the beak, but this impression could be caused by the angle.
              ( red circle)

The claws should cover the swas at least a bit...canĀ“t be seen clear on the image

The feathers on the chest are IMO not detailed enough ...also maybe due to the image

              On reverse:

the needle might be resoldered ( see red circle)

the rivets are maybe manually flattend/ messed with. Also I think the material of the rivets should be the same like the eagle....on the image the colour of the rivets is more like the wreath...so maybe wrong rivets as well??

In general the material / finish of the eagle...especially on reverse.. looks not ok IMO, it looks kind of "krisp" and not smooth

What do you think about these concerns?
              Thanks a lot
              KR

                  Hi Adam,

I think Martin's assessment is right on. Its an original for me as well, but messed with. The eagle is refinished, and it is so think that it distorts how the details look on it, so I would certainly pass on this one. You can see some of the gold paint on a few places on the wreath, quite sloppily done.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

                      Paratrooper Pass-by

My first impression also, as Tom stated the eagle has been refinished/painted that doesn't correspond with the rest, I.E. wreath.
