RSS bomber clasp

Not needed on tombac badges. Yours is a very nice example just the way it is. I own 2 or 3 R.S.S. bombers in bronze and at least one of them shows a 2-tone finish (bronze to yellow) like yours. This is the only maker I've encountered with this color of finish.
I think your clasp has been cleaned and maybe finished with something oily to enhance it's color. Or maybe just the lighting as you say. Either way, a well preserved clasp in remarkable condition. Don't do a thing to it.

Is this one Bronze or Gold? The Bronze example I have is a very different tone to this one.

The wear on Kwen's example is intriguing. The central bomb has more oxidised finish left on it than I have seen before on a worn RSS but the 'wings' of the clasp look like they have been enthusiastically cleaned and their original bronze lacquer finish has been lost. An interesting combination.

Photos under day light. I kept most of the badges I bought so as long as they were orginal, bronze or gold class doesn't mean much to me. But I paid this one for a gold class price.

Does anybody have a gold buntmetall R.S.S. clasp they could post to compare here? I only have bronze and silver examples.
