The Luftwaffe Air to Ground Clasp was awarded to members of German Air Force support squadrons in Bronze for 20 operational flights, Silver for 60 operational flights, and Gold for 110 operational flights.
It was established rather late in the War on May 13, 1944 to replace the previous clasp which had a downward pointing arrow that was established in April, 1941 and awarded to all of the qualifying "Day Fighter" Squadron members.
This newer award badge was intended to honor the more specific group of Combat Airmen.
