    Junckers J1? Opinions sollicited.

I've bought this badge on e-stand yesterday, where it is being advertised as a Junckers J1.

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=616908

A friend of mine whose judgement I trust indicated to me that the badge offered is, in fact, not a Junckers J1. Not being an expert in the field myself, I would appreciate views of more knowledgable members.

I need a Junckers J 1, to accompany a 1935 pilot's badge document, and am afraid I'm not interested in the badge if it is not.

    Grateful for your views.
    Regards,
    Sandro

You can't have more J1 than that one, it even has the cut out between the paws

@Alex... heavily worn? I'm sure I've seen much worse than this
          Kind regards,
          Giel

            Hi Sandro,

Very nice addition, and I agree with the others that its a textbook J1 Juncker.

For such an early badge, your friend might be thinking of a "CEJ" marked badge, which is typically thought of as being the earliest Juncker maker mark used on their PBs. But the eagle and wreath design are both the same on these badges, regardless of the maker mark, they are both J1s.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

I agree with everyone else - what is not J1 about this J1? It is a very nice example, particularly with the cutout between the legs, which is not present in all examples.

The main problem that i see about this one is the price. Strange, there are so many other avaleable for lower price, and you choose that one. I know for 2 of them in much better condition and less money

It is a well worn bird... It might be the picture, but the white spots seem like the polish paste.
