    Writing an article about the Luftwaffe Observer's Badge

    This time, I'm including the zinkers in with the early and war-time Tombak examples.

    So far, this is what I've got:

    Juncker
    Early Tombak thin type
    War-time Tombak thick type

    Deumer
    Early Tombak thin type
    War-time Tombak thick type

    Assmann
    Early thin type (aluminum)
    War-time Tombak thick type (stamped "A")
    War-time Tombak thick type (raised "A")
    Late-war zink (separate hinge and catch)
    Late-war zink (integrated hinge and catch)

    GWL
    War-time Tombak

    Paul Meybauer
    War-time Tombak
    Late-war zink

    Unmarked with a laid-down block hinge
    War-time Tombak wreath with aluminum eagle

                I've got a cased early thin, unmarked example--not sure of the maker but it could be Deumer--let me know if you need photos.
