        A good honest been-there badge
I think it would look better if you used better or natural lighting in your photos

        Regards,

I was thinking the same thing about the lighting. It almost looks like a zincer in that light. BSW's are not that common. You won't find a lot of threads on the WAF about them. The wreath and eagle look correct but I wonder if that is a repaired catch. BSW's typically have a thicker wire that would be difficult to stretch out like on this example I think.

            Nice badge Fleming.
As for the thin wire catch, I think it is original. While I don't own a BSW RO-AG, I have an unmolested BSW pilot badge with the same thin round wire catch.

Nice badge Will (and of course Richard too). ROAGs don't get much air time on WAF and the BSW probably less than any. I have always liked the ROAG badges but most collectors seem to be drawn by the 'glamour' of pilot badges.

A great addition to your collection Will - you now officially have 'the bug'.

                Hi Will,

Very nice addition, not often we get to see BSW ROAGs. Everything looks good on yours, correct type of BSW hinge, correct rivets and I also think the catch is fine. Nice all-around example.

                Tom
If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

thanks for the comments guys, I apologise for the not so good pictures....the light is terrible here. Its to grey and cloudy and I am terrible photographing in artificial light.

The catch is not replaced, it has been reshaped.

I am loving these Luft badges.... this goes nice with my Pilot Badge

PS. I had an interesting observation made by someone today; "why do pilot badges et al come with thin pins and hardware when compared to many Heer and Kriegsmarine awards?"
                  Does anyone know?

The 2nd photo made a big difference, lovely ROAG!
