    Ehrenpokal of Oekenpöhler

This fine honor Goblet of the Luftwaffe, or “Ehrenpokal der Luftwaffe” belongs to a friend of mine. It was originally awarded to the pilot and oberfeldwebel Johann-Peter Oekenpöhler ( 10.04.41) Oekenpöhler was awarded the knights cross at a later stage of the war (02.06.43) No alpaca, this piece is solid silver.

I have no problem with this pokal.
But he appears to be cleaned very often.

What do you mean by "No Alpaca"?? I am not familiar with this term or with goblets in general. Thanks, Bill

I understand what Chris mean, that 835 Ehrenpokal must look like this one on the bottom :

Hi William, "alpaca" is an alloy that imitates sterling silver.

Thank you, My brother had one of these recently but he sold it before I could see it in person.

The original owner behind the steering wheel on this shot from a "Signal" issue.

I am happy to share that the Oekenpöhler goblet has now entered my collection. I had a skilled goldsmith to examine it, he could confirm that there have never been any repairs or resoldering. All original.

                              Cincerely,

                              Loke
