Bombers clasp

I found that a local dealer has this and I am not familiar with the maker. It looks like it could have been a gold clasp with most of the gilding worn to time? Or is it just a bronze clasp?

Any red flags on this one? He also has a 1st pattern E - Boat badge I am interested in too and have posted in on the KM forum for review.
