Hi guys,
Well on my 3rd attempt to corral one of these babies, I will able to pry this one from John thanks !

I've been looking at this and others trying to identify any tells, so we'll see what can be spotted. Once in hand in comparing it to the fakes, as Gene has pointed out, the deeper gold color stands out. Also a small "dot" on the top of the right wing, although no clue yet if this is common with authentic pieces.

I had picked up the case below, thinking I'd only find a clasp,but again, thanks to John was bale to obtain it with a case.

Great cased Luft Honor Roll clasp (and picts too) Greg!

Congrats you cant possibly go wrong with something as nice... Almost brings tears to my eyes, since I used to have both the Luftwaffe & the Navy cased clasps in the 70s but of course they were amongst the first to go (with the minty Schwerin navy badges and the flight badges) when I had to part with most of my collection. Much harder to find now in this condition
