      Hey Greg,

a top catch for your collection!!

These Aluminium badges are very rare to find without a damage on the Setup
(especially by the hook) in the market!

      Congrats

        Thanks guys! Really appreciate it!

        Thanks for the timeline Tom!!

IMO these aluminum badges certainly not be "rare" (but what badges really are other than a few.....maybe J-1 CEJ OB & PB's or Aircrew etc.). Though not as common as tombak & zinc. I liked this one due to the lack of repairs (as Thomas commented on) which are a bit harder to locate.

Nonetheless, I personally like the alums!

Here it is along with my J-3 ROAG I also like.

        Thanks again!!

Wow, thats a nice Aluminium Duo!!

          Greg,

now you have to search for a qualified "Airgunner" case!

But this is sometimes harder than the badge itself to find...........

Thanks for the insight Tom, very interesting...

Maybe Santa will bring me more current reference books for Xmas: whatever I had was hot stuff in the 70's but... Since I started up again whatever he feels I deserve each year always materializes as a few items for the collection and, so far, I just havent had the guts to tell him to stuff the medals and the insignia and just bring me good reference books!

              Thanks again Tom,

              JC
