    Early J1 Observer question

    Hello Collectors,

I have this early Juncker Observer badge.

Please have a close look if you see any issues, any problems with this badge.....want to be 100 % sure.

    Thanks a lot in advance

    Kind regards

    Martin

        Martin,

This looks more like a transition example as it has the J2 pilots wreath, not the normal thinner wreath seen on the J1's. J1 eagle on a different wreath.

Badge looks cleaned and I see some lighter toning around the catch and rivets. Is the catch repaired?

          Hello Tim,

          thanks for your reply.

IMO the badge ( catch) has no repair.....I bought it as a badge with no repairs / issues.

          Thanks again

Good pickup on the wreath Tim.

I see no issues re authenticity or repair. Imo it's been well cleaned though.

            Regards

              Hi Martin,

Looks fine to me too. It has the later pattern, J2 wreath which makes this type of badge a good bit rarer than a typical, early thin-wreath type of Juncker Observer. The catch look fine to me, typical Juncker IMO but I agree that it looks a little cleaned or polished up.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
