I just purchased a goblet on the estand dated March 21, 1941, obviously an early date.

If these began to be granted in 1940, are there any pictures of 1940 goblets that members can post? The only one's I discovered searching the WAF data base is 1941.

There seems to be a minor competition in this thread as to who has the earliest goblet.

Also, does any member have the approximate date that Wagner changed to Alpaka?

I am more impressed by the who than the when. Alpaka goblets fine if not worn down to a nasty looking finish. But if it's a cool Who the finish isn't so important...

            Thomas, thanks for the help!

One more thing. I know that the Military Advisor wrote a major article on the goblets sometime in the 90s. I own nearly all of the MA's but I have no index to go by.

Thomas, do you or any member have the vol. number and date for the Military Advisor article?

            Otherwise needle in haystack.

            Thanks.

                Thanks.
Got that issue. Now I know where to look for MA's.
