    GWL luft Assault badge????

    Hello everyone
out on the road currently....was at a show in Springfield Mass.
last weekend and saw a GWL Luft Assault badge.....
i did not know that these were made, can anyone confirm this.
It had the correct (imo) rivets and hinge but was quite beat up...and the dealer wanted big bucks so i passed but i was curious....any onew else have/seen one of these???
    thanks

Hi Jos´this really is a tasty badge and must be very rare, I´ve never seen one in real or in books.Have you had it a long time?.

                Hello Skip,
I've this badge for about 6/7 years now.
I've seen several,Lorenzo has one and I've seen a few on dealers sites, but it's more limited than Osang for example.
GWL made quite some different badges though.
I've seen Army,Navy and Airforce badges made by GWL.
I also have a Luft Flakbadge made by GWL,same rivets.
                Here it is,

                Jos.

Hi Jos´ Minty badge with just a little wear, lovely.
I personally avoid the Dealers sites. Living in Germany I enjoy the hunt at the fleamarkets of a weekend, although I do use Milweb to.
Heres something that an old lady who lives in my block of flats gave me after I´d helped her to redecorate her flat.

The wearer was the tall one on the right. Although the fat one in the middle probably had one to

Hi Mike. I have two GWL Luft Ground Assault badges. A little worn and not as nice as Jos' minty piece, but fairly rare.

                              Guys
i just got off the phone with Seba and he told me there was a bunch of replies to this thread...thanks for the input!!
i have a GWL flak badge it is pictured on my new site
                              http://flakbadges.homestead.com

thanks for all the replies, i would have picked the piece up at the show(since that was the only authentic piece i could find of any intertest!!) but the canadian dealer wanted 380.00 for it!!
and it was kinda beat up, he thought nothing wrong with this price when i gave him the "you got to be kidding" look
anyway i will try and post when i can, i will be away from home base till the first week in july and buying/trading/selling as i go for gas money
                              mike
