    Glider Pilot Opinions Pls

Visited a friend and took pics and scanned images of a glider badge he has. These pics may not be great but would appreciate opinions on the badge if possible. Could not get anything to turn out on the MM but it is the SW68 variety.
Hope it is easy for the well informed to venture an opinion. Me, never saw one before either good or bad and wouldn't know the difference. Thanks in advance.

            Hi Bob,

Just my opinion, but the hinge, rivets, and general finish (or in this case what appears to be the absence typical Juncker hand-finishing, eg on the edges of the wreath, cut-out swas) don't appear to be consistent with other early Juncker badges (Glider Pilot or other types). The badge has the general form of a Juncker, but then again so will a really good casting. For me, the rounded S and inclusion of the 68 on a high-quality basemetal badge are damning. Sorry, not for my collection.

            Regards
            Mike K

              Glider pilots badge

              Hello,

This badge is not for your collection IMHO, the eagle is completely wrong for a Juncker + so is the wreath.

It simply does not fit real Junckerpieces as towards quality, check out the following thread to see how a real Juncker must look like :

Another unmarked Juncker is shown here :

              Cordial greetings,

                Hello Bob,
I must agree completely with Stijn and Mike - this is not a real Juncker Glider. Please compare your pictured badge to the examples on the links provided by Stijn - those ARE great original Junckers'.
