    Aluminum Assmann P/O

    Hi guys!
Just received this "been there, done that" alum Assmann P/O. Weights a very heavy 10 grams

What I've notice with the few worn examples I've studied is there seems to be a bit of gold wash (?) on the eagle. The catch is closed & I'm not even thinking of trying to open it for fear of snapping it off, it is what it is.

Although it is a worn example I really do like him! I would love to have a minty example, but my bride insists I can't sell the house or her

    Thanks!
    Greg

    Hi Greg,

Textbook example my friend, just really great and rare badge you have there

I don't blame you on the catch at all, I wouldn't touch it!!

    Tom
If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Great score there Greg. Nice to see a worn aluminum badge with unmolested rivets.

As Tom said, it's Textbook. No repairs - Hinge, Catch, Pin and Rivets are intact. The Makermarks are correct and in the right locations. It has the oval cut-out between the legs. Plenty of finish remaining.

                Cherish.
