I bought a hand full of German items and was feeling pretty good about them...until I was told one was a fake. Now I am fearful that they all may be fake. Would the viewers critique them for me and let me know what I have for sure? I am going to try and post them in the correct catagories instead of putting them all in one place. Thanks.

I agree with Lubo, the Osang LW GAB is good, but all the other badges are crap including the broken eagle IMO.
TomIf it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a littleNew Book - The German Close Combat Clasp of World War II

Unfortunately all the originals were made during or before the war, meaning that anything with Swazi produced after the war, regardless of the manufacturer is CRAP (worthless repro)!
Originally posted by ob'98 View PostBy crap, do you mean worthless repro/knockoffs or just not war time production? I get the feeling that the two NSFK badges, although not war time issue were made by the same folks but just made after the war, so not as desireable..am I correct on that? Do the post-war production items have a following? Thanks.

The Osang LGAB still looks perfectly fine to me with these new pics.

Thanks again.
Thanks again for the help with the badges. I am not a collector but found them at an estate sale so took a chance. I ended up with 5 good badges and 3 fakes. An unknown broken eagle of no value. A good patch, police pin and a tinney. I am happy. Best regards to a knowledgeable group.
