    A badge for discussion...

...I think this one needs some discussion.

The MM alone is enough to scare me, closely followed by the hardware (?squarewire catch on an early Juncker?). What do others think?

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

    Hello Mike,

I guess your right, Marker mark is not good, the top arm in the J is not typical Juncker. The hook and hinge not typical Juncker either in my opinion. I would not add this one into my collection. There's a good discussion here about the same subjet:

        Hi guys,

Mike, I completely agree with you and actually just posted in the estand thread asking the seller to post it here for discussion. Glad you already started the thread, and I will add this link to the sales thread.

I agree with all the points mentioned, a clear fake to me based on the reverse hardware, crappy maker mark and fraudulent 800 silver content mark on a clearly brass-based badge

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

The obverse leaves much to be desired as well. The enamel work on this looks very cheap and uneven, more like a late war painted badge than a true enameled badge.

This is not a real Juncker

In total agreement. I hope the guy that was selling it can get his money back from the original seller.
