Hi Harvey,
Would love to help out, but I don't know a thing about these. Dietrich Maerz might know more, he is into minis and stickpins. For what its worth, it looks nice and believable to me

Harvey, this type of pin normally has the swastika fully cut-out with the front claw stretching over to the next swastika-bar, leaving a rectangular void. The silver version is the "Dienstnadel für Luftnachtrichtenhelferinnen" and the gold version is the pin for wear on cilvilian clothes by active LW soldiers. Personally I would pass on this one.

I agree with Peter J. on this post. This item is cruder than the ones I have seen over the years, and is not likely to be a Generals stick pin, albeit gold washed. There are many nice examples of original pieces around which can be found in dealers lists regularly and certainly at most fairs. My advice is go for another one but always look for good finish and sharp detail.
