Nice one. Looks unmarked, is there a maker mark? Juncker regardless though

Hi Guys just a couple questions...

1/ Is it possible for makers of the day to use an eagle from one maker and a wreath from another and then combine them together. ?? On this particular badge this is what a friend seems to think, Also is this an unmarked 3 pattern Junker ??

                    Thanks guys.

All you need is Garlasco's flak book. This is an unmarked 3rd pattern, or J3. The "step or lip" is typical to all Juncker flaks. The lack of stem is also a characteristic. The makers DID NOT share eagles/wreaths as you ask, but repaired badges have been found with mismatched parts. Juncker had at least two wreaths and 3 eagles, perhaps more.

                        Hi Paul,

I agree with Nick, this badge is a 3rd Pattern Juncker flak badge, and that step on the swastika is a common aspect to these. It also makes sense that this badge is unmarked, since Juncker simply stopped marking their badges later in the war for some reason, something we see on their later war LW Para badges and Heer flak badges, etc.

Garlasco's flak book is a good investment in this regard.
