    Interesting Doppelabzeichen

    Hi,

I was watching a LW group on Milweb which had been split up by the seller/dealer. Interesting that this Doppelabzeichen (http://www.militariaweb.com/d/lot.cfm?lotID=3295830) has a BLACK eagle! Someone is in for a surprise! Not exactly a bargain final price for a Pilot's Badge either, although the way US/German dealers price them these days maybe it is! You'd have thought the inscription on the case might have given the dealer a hint though (http://www.militariaweb.com/d/lot.cfm?lotID=3295831)

    Regards

          Hi,

I know that, and you know that, but the dealer was obivously fooled by the yellow toned silver frosting on the wreath that these B&NL's are susceptible to! I wonder what the successful bidder thought? The jacket from the grouping had a cloth Pilot's Badge sewn on it as well. It was a case of "the lights are on but no-one's home" I think.
