    Means "Repro - Copie"

    Just kidding.

Herr Miller und Herr Hildermann also have ones like this, I believe.

Not sure anyone ever figured it out for sure.

Mark is going to kill you for that! The best guess is that it is some kind of distributor mark, although no one knows for sure.
      best wishes,

This is still a mystery. Hopefully one day all will be revealed as to it's significance.

RC = Reiches Chancellery. These were specially made and presented to AH, as he particularly liked GWL badges, and wanted them in his Luft Badge Collection .... Very rare and worth a lot of money $$$.

I always thought RC was the equivilant of a Distributor. As the 'product' moved thru their 'hands', they tagged it. They are plenty of 'contractual' possibilities to consider, while drinking quantities of Hefeweizen Bier. Like Jeff & Rich mention, it's still "up in the air", very much like the 'OM'.

In The German Close Combat Clasp of World War 2, by Thomas M. Durante, Page 304 - 306, another possibility is offered. The 'WEIMAR' link.

And then there is Tim. "Hey Tim! You're beautiful babe! Let's do lunch. Weren't you buying a big Luft Grouping from Ciderz Trezzerz? Did that P/O have the elusive MO-FO makermark?"
"You can check out any time you like ..... But you can never leave....."

              Hi guys,

This RC mark is something we can see on several other GWL badges like their CCCs and ROAGs, etc. Seems to make sense to me that this was some type of distribution mark and I had hypothosized that it might be the initials of Richard Conrad, simply because this was the only name that I could find that matched the initials. Here is a snapshot from the CCC book about the mark.

To bad they had to ruin a perfectly nice GWL badge with their overstamp

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

But shouldn´t all GWL badges have the "fingerprint" on the reverse?

I can see the "fingerprint" on this one and certainly have no problems with it.
