ONLY one paratropper badge. (just to have one)

Would this be this? its supposed to be the early version with IMME´s own made eagle, what does that mean?

    Thanks

    Daniel.

      Hi Daniel,

That is a nice one, but I suspect a replaced pin. In my opinion, IMME's aren't really a perfectly representative example of a Paratrooper Badge simply because of the silver wreath. The vast majority of Para badges have blackened wreaths, and IMME was the only one to disregard the regulation and use a silver wreath. The are perfectly fine and original, but just not a "perfectly representative" example because of that IMO. A nice representative example would be a Juncker or Assmann, Deumer or BSW in my opinion.

The comment about "IMME's own eagle" is that this badge was completely made by IMME using its own eagle and wreath design. There are some IMME badges where the eagle and/or wreath was made by Juncker. Some of these badges were made by Juncker for IMME, and some others were made by IMME, but used Juncker parts. So your badge would be an example using IMME badge parts and put together by IMME.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

        Thank you Tom.

So basically if i want a rare badge, this is the one.

If i want a nice representative one (just to have one) i should go for one with blackened wreath..right?

        Thanks in advance.

        Daniel.

          Hi Daniel,

IMME Para badges aren't terribly rare, but if you were looking for one that is "representative" and didn't want one with a repaired pin, then I would pass on this example.
