Hello All,
Here are the latest additions to my collection,
I am so pleased that I would just like to share them all with you in memory of the Vet who ‘liberated’ them just to note that I am the custodian of these few items for the time being.
The German Cross in Gold with Luftwaffe backing is a nice worn example, the two flight bars are both unmarked tombak pieces as is the Maybauer Observer badge (Broken Pin sadly). The merit cross in a box (the box is for an Ostvolk 1st class award) is in zinc The EK2 is unmarked and 2 examples of unmarked KVK2s one in tombak the other in rotten zinc
These were all accumulated by a trooper in the RAC who was awarded the France and Germany Star, 39/45 star Defence and war medal so could have been a D Day vet through to the final surrender on Luneburg Heide.
I will pop the relevant close ups on the appropriate threads
All the best
Doug
