Sorry Gentlemen, I still have some issues that to be resolved before I could begin to feel comfortable about this badge. First, I'll try and put up a couple good side by side photos. You can see on the wingtips where my eagle originally had black finish so we won't worry about that. My badge also has a buggered rivet, so we'll let that go as well. What bothers me here is the color of the base metal of the eagle. As a GWL collector, none of my pilot's or observers badges have this color base metal. I have however seen this color base metal on pilot's badges without the "fingerprint "mark. I know this doesn't bother some collectors, but it bothers me. The other aspect I really can't see is the polish on the inside of the wreath with the laurel leaves. The photo I've enclosed is misleading due to the reflection of the eagle, but this entire portion of the wreath is highly polished.

Next is the roughness of the edges of the eagle. The one in question appears to have some almost jagged edges. Lastly, is the finish to the wreath. All of my badges have a somewhat flat finish applied while the one in question is somewhat semi-gloss. Overall there's still just enough to say "Not for me".Ignored Due To Invisibility.

Yes, the GWL in question looks totally different, yours screams "good one" , while the other raises questions, one is the famous frosting and high lights of the wreath, which looks like silver paint with lacquer and the high lights are just bare metal ..
A very disturbing back of the eagle, while yours is nice and flat.
