Trying hard to not start collecting air crew badges, afther a transport clasp i have picked up these two, 100% happy with ROAG, but would value some help with cloth as its my first , hopefully if i manage to hold on to my job next year , no doubt i will be tempted to buy more . happy NEW YEAR TO ALL thanks for looking martin.

Hi Martin,
I have owned a few similar cloth badges over the years and found that the true test lays in examining the rear rather than the front. The rear of this one doesn't look right to me.
I am always suspicious of unused (unsewn) badges which look mint at the rear and have a label semi removed. The original pieces I have with labels are complete as there was no need to remove them - particularly on an unused item.

Hi Martin,
Absolutely gorgeous original B&NL ROAG, perfectly textbook example in my opinion with excellent finish.
I also don't see any problems with your cloth pilot badge, no real alarm bells going off with that one. I personally like it, despite its pristine condition.
Why are you trying hard not to collect aircrew badges. Good luck with that, they are VERY tempting
