PS. the name is spelt on the back of mine as:

      Bruder Schneider A.G. Wien

PPS. Maybe I'm wrong here, but I do not believe this firm made the P/O version of this badge. Pilot badge yes, P/O no.

Guys, I just couldn't make a decision on this badge when we checked it out at the SOS. The makers mark was in incuse relief. The finish looked okay, but I've never seen one like it to compare. Like Gary, I'm really curious about this piece.

Richard, I think it was B&N/L that didn't make PO badges. I believe BSW is an accepted maker.

Absolutely and the badge Mark Miller shows in this very thread is a BSW P/O.
          Cheers, Frank

              Hi Gary..,

If a badge normaly don't has the cut out wing and you find one that has the cut out wing ,it's not a indication the badge isn't Ok in the first place ...

I can imagine the wearer had it done etc.

For me it wouldn't be a indication the/a badge is a fake..

So ,point 3 wouldn't work for me..

              Jos.

                  P/O Badge

                  Hey Gary,

I have also looked at the badge you're inquiring about, and IMO, I feel it's a good one. I used to own a pilot about 10 years back that's identical to the one Frank posted, and the eagle, sloppy hinge solder, maker mark, etc all look the same.

I also know the gentleman selling the piece, and I believe he has a good reputation.
