I don't see a repair either. I also doubt that the eagle was a post war swap due to the same heat discoloration in non-suspect areas.
IMO an original badge.

Is it possible that the whole eagle is replaced? This can explain the traces of the heating.

I just looked at a bunch of Juncker flaks discussed in previous threads and the traces of heating are evident on many of them also.
