Real Deumer or expensive fishing lure?

A buddy of mine got this badge and while it has a decent looking makers mark, that is the only thing I like about it. The MM picture is not great but from the others I feel very strongly that this is only suitable for trolling for bottom feeding carp. ???

Yes, an expensive fishing lure it is! Is the green/blue stuff artificial aging or wax from the casting?
