    Presumed fake luft GAB

    Well, I believe this to be a fake badge. The metal doesnt seem to be zink.
    Please give your opinions.

        Don't like it either, seems it has to go through as a Arno Wallpach but I see lots of diferances. For example the cast catch.

          Hi guys,

          I think this might be a good badge, but with a very well done repair to the catch. You can see where it was neatly soldered onto the original cast-in catch. Daniel (Nordmark) studies these GABs quite a lot, I wonder what he thinks about it. But looks fine to me beside the repair.

          If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

              What about the double rim on the 10/11 o clock posision? Is that common on originals? I know these are copied almost to perfection

                Are those casting bubbles in the lower left wreath?

                  This is a trait of originals Rene, often seen on these Arno Wallpatch's and probably due to a mis-alignment of the casting dies. Here is another one with similar feature.

                  Scott, those pock marks look more like zincrot in my opinion.

                    I agree with Tom it appears to be zinkpest that's been cleaned.

                      Please tell me if you need more pics.

                      Still, the metal is like nothing í have seen on other zinkbadges, ist more white in appearance.

                        Sorry i am a bit new to all this but the term casting dies dosnt make sense to me casting = molds
                        stamping = dies
                        is this correct
