    Bullion Badges

Bullion badges are such a mine field, I'd like some other opions on these examples.

Both are good IMO. Too bad about the mothing to the pilot badge; the observer is of lesser quality in symmetry of the embroidery but genuine nonetheless I believe.

        Hi Tom,

You are right, very tricky but I agree with Gene that both look OK. I like the tight weave of the swastikas and the general look of the obverse and reverse of both seems consistent with other wartime examples.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

I like both of them as well. Too bad about the mothing on the Pilot Badge is right!

                  Bullion Pilot Badge Value?

Bullion Badges are much rarer and harder to acquire than the metal badges, correct? I have a chance to purchase several at top price from one of the best if not the number one dealer in the world. I have seen them range from 1,250 for a Pilot to 5,000 for a nice PO in bullion. Any comments?

In the above picture note the exposed unterlagen at the lightning bolts. In the below picture you can see scrap-book residue....I have to dig out some repros to post for reference.
