This is indeed a fake Radio Operator/ Airgunner badge.

No doubt about it, what so ever, sorry.

        Best Regards

Unfortunately, regular members are being restricted to post in the seller threads. How do we alert potential buyers right away before the moderator takes actions?
In the past, experienced members can post their comments in the sale thread if they think there was a problem and link to the discussion so that some potential buyers would be aware right away to avoid the transaction and headache. I'm wondering how we members can protect each other from buy fake stuff now in this kind of situation?
          Thanks, Lonny

            Hi Lonny

            Agree.
I think the intention was to prevent comments on the sales threads. For me these comments, was at the most a bit irritating.

Hope they consider removing this restriction.

Since WAF always has a good reputation and high standard so here's my concern and I hope the moderators and administrators will take it into considerations.
Say, if some novice collectors bought one of these fake badges from the eStand. He trusted some of the WAF members would alert and help the potential buyers to be aware if the badge is a fake so he "assumed" that it was original as the seller stated because he did not see any comments in the sale thread at the time he was buying it. He keeps it for a while and decide to sell it to some body. The buyer says this is a fake badge but the badge owner will insist that this is "real" because he bought it from the WAF eStand and he did not see any member had any problem with the authenticity of the badge. The buyer probably will be like ...
If the above scenario occurred once, twice, 10 times, 50 times, in my opinion, the WAF's reputation will be going down quickly, and eventually, less members will join and may be current members will leave because the trust for this forum will be low especially for the novice collectors and new members.
              Just my 1 cent,
              Lonny

PS: In the past, I saw a few members did not follow the rule by post inappropriate comments or comments to promote the sale of others in their sale threads, why not discipline the individuals? Instead, all members are being punished. We're not in the military!

IMO a very inappropriate and insensitive comment to a fellow collector, who I would think is a bit unhappy to discover that his badge is a reproduction.

we could have a select number of people (50+) who know there stuff and fallow the rules quite well - have the ability to alert members to bad items by posting i in other peoples sale threads?
