This style has been around a long time now - I remember seeing these repro 'Osang' Paras all the way back into the late 1990's. I remember well as I had one back then!!!

Hi Eric,
Yes they are an old fake. Those fakes go back even earlier, I saw one in 1993 while in Vienna (it was for sale with a fake PM observer). They started to surface a little after the Frank & Rief U-boat started showing up.

When you've gotten burned by something, you don't ever forget what burned you. I saw that eagle straight away and had a painful flashback. But, to answer your question in another light, just start at the maker mark - a very common, bogus marking for the OSANG company. It only snowballs from there.
