Looks like an original zinc Assmann to me, a picture from the catch would be great.

Original Assmann but the catch is reapplied and changed.

                    Hi guys,

I agree, an original Assmann and original catch that has been re-soldered. The pin also may be a replacement, or the original pin was sharpened for some reason.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

thanks for the help i can live with a refixed catch

i have log been afraid to collet any of these..i have one original wermacht badge and one pilit badge ( there are gifts from old veterans so those i know are 100% real.. just to bad that the wermachbadge had the svastika removed by the owner just after the war ) but still i nice item since i know the history of it and the man behind it. the pilot badge was given to me by Arthur Von Casimir.. commanedr of KGr 100 in 1940. my most precious item
