For me the first posted GWL Observer looks like a high end fake.

Hi guys,

I too think its either a well made reproduction or an original that is highly messed with. Definately the finish is incorrect and at a minimum is refinished. I don't like the quality of the hinge and pin, so that is why I lean toward it being a reproduction rather than a refinished original.

In either case, I would definately recommend waiting for something nicer and more textbook to come along.
