    Bronze FFS Bomber

    Thought I'd show this little trinket. It came with the slip of paper and I was wondering if anyone had seen another with the paper or why it would be included? Posthumous?

      That looks to be one of the nicest bronze bombers I have ever seen; as in awarded but not worn. Perhaps the owner moved on to Silver so fast he did not get to wear it long. I can't figure out the context of the ticket though. House 25 in a Bavarian town? It is almost like it was confiscated from a search. Pure speculation but I would guess the paper was post-war and from occupied forces. Who occupied Bavaria after the war - must have been the US or British. Never seen this before. Whar is the handwriting say?

        I did try several times but as the name is quite common I didn't get too far. With out knowing which geschwader he was in makes it very difficult.

        I'm not really sure why your guess leads to post-war occupation troops. Do you know if this was common practice? I would have thought they wouldn't have cared who it belonged to?

        I can't really make out what is written very well but the last line refers to a street name and I always assumed this was the actual name of the street which is why i always thought it was were it was to be sent. The hand writing is also very German in style.

                      a clear shot would be helpful...the wording says siehe schriftwechsel der W.St.(R or B).....refering to a mail exchange by W.St....
