luftwaffe badge

I have a luftwaffe badge that I think is ok, it seems to conform to the late war zink type. has cast one pc, hinge and catch needle seems to be correct. the paint on the front is in exclent shape and that is the only concern, did some of these badges retain that luster from the factory? thanks

Hi,

The badge looks like a typical late-war zinc example with cast -in hinge and catch. In your images though, the paintwork on the front (clouds, lightning bolt, groundstrike) looks greyish GREEN. If this is the case then imo it is a repaint. It should be painted a dark grey (but not black).

it is I think because of the shin tothe paint that it looks green. it is dark gray but has a shin to it. have some of these badges survived with a original shine?
