    Juncker PO Badge

I was wondering if anybody would venture an opinion on this piece for me? I have a 3 day inspection period. I'm not an expert PO badges and would appreciate any help in this area. I have reviewed the past threads on this, and I can't see any thing wrong with it...but???

That's a very strange looking wreath. Looks like an Assmann wreath.

I don't like it. The MM looks like it's a good try at imitating the original, but is not as sharp and defined. Plus the rivets don't look correct to me. The "Assmann" style wreath with the dip at the bottom is also a red flag raiser.

Agree with Yuri, maker mark is a dangerous attempt.

Look at mine on this post:

                          Hi Steve,

A full/complete shot of the reverse would be helpful but from what I can see this looks like one of the "dip wreath" repros, in this case with a cast 1st pattern Juncker eagle. Aside from what Yuri has already highlighted, there appear to be casting pockmarks all over the maker's mark image, as well as above the hinge. Unless the reverse shot indicates a correct Juncker first pattern wreath (I very much doubt it based on the obverse image), I'd suggest you get your money back.

                          Regards
                          Mike K
