    Transport Clasp

Notice anything unusual about this transport clasp?

Well now that you have had a few seconds to think about it; one side has round holes drilled while the other side has been drilled and filed ino triangles like you see on JMME. Don't know what to make of this yet.

Nice original early clasp but looks like someone was having a tough day at the office! The ones I have owned have round holes but the procedure on some early clasps was to first drill a round hole and then file it out to the contour of the leaves to make a triangular hole

          Greg:
That appears to be a clasp by the same maker. I have never seen one without the drilled holes before. That is one thing that has me wondering. It is very unusual. There must be others out there. Anyone got one that has been fully finished bythis maker?
